What is included with the rental?
Your rental includes the boat, fenders, dock lines, anchor, life jackets, and a fire extinguisher.
Is fuel included?
No. Fuel is not included in the rental price. The credit card on file will be charged for fuel used after the boat is returned.
How old do you need to be to rent a boat?
You must be at least 21 years old to rent a boat from Lake Granbury Marina. If you were born after September 1, 1993, you must also have completed a Texas Parks and Wildlife-approved Boater Education Course. Courses are available online at Texas Parks and Wildlife.
Is a boating license required?
Anyone born after September 1, 1993, must present a valid Boater Education Certificate and a government-issued photo ID at check-in. Failure to provide both documents will result in forfeiture of the rental and deposit.
Is a security deposit required?
Yes. A $500 authorization hold will be placed on the credit card at check-in to cover any incidental damages. If no damage is found upon return, the hold will be released within 1–2 business days.
Do I need to provide insurance?
No. Optional rental insurance is available for purchase at $20 per hour. In the event of damage, the $500 incidental hold will be applied toward the insurance deductible.
Are life jackets provided?
Yes. U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets are provided for all passengers, including infants, children, and adults.
Do life jackets need to be worn while on the boat?
Texas law requires all children under 13 years of age to wear a U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket at all times while the boat is underway.
What should we bring?
We recommend bringing a cooler, food, drinks, snacks, sunscreen, towels, and any other personal items you may need for your day on the water. Many convenience items, food, and beverages are also available for purchase at our restaurant, Stumpy’s Lakeside Grill. For your convenience, carts are available to help transport your belongings to and from the boat.
Can I bring my pet?
Dogs are welcome; however, a $200 non-refundable pet cleaning fee applies.
I want to pull a tube. Which boat should I rent?
Towable water sports are permitted on tritoons only.
Can I bring my own towable?
No. Personal towables are not permitted. Tube rentals are available for $20 per day and accommodate up to two riders.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If inclement weather prevents your rental on the day of your reservation, you will receive a full refund.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled reservation time to receive a full refund.
